Contemplating strategy again.

A strategy is not a definitive action or verb. Its an abstract mix and the manifestation of several elements such as; the vision, the ideal future scene, the precise objectives, intelligence (past and present data), the foresight into the possibilities of the future, among others that works holistically together to achieve a specific set of objectives.

Furthermore, a strategy is and always will be volatile by nature. As the market landscape terrain changes, uncontrollable and unpredictable influencing factors, new and ever-changing resisting forces (new-entrants into the market) and the continuously evolving, liberating and democratic nature of the target (the customer) - a well crafted, thoroughly thought-out and resilient strategy is going to be one of your primary competitive advantages to "stay-in-the game" for as long as possible. Obviously, this advise is not for those pursuing short-term growth-hacks to radically boost revenue and equity value at the cost of sacrificing meaningful impact, longevity and sustainability.

A business makes money to exist. But it doesn't exist to make money. It exists to make a meaningful impact and difference. Otherwise, we wouldn't be much different than the tech opportunists and capitalists of the past dot-com revolution.
